i havent updated in so long, i forgot how to blog.  so much has happened and changed, so i guess ill cover it all in a few posts. 

well, moved away from statesboro, and its been hard to re-adjust to living at home (for a little while) until i can find a residecny or break down and get a job.  problem is, all the jobs i look at im either over qualified or way under qualified.  so my only hope right now is to land a kick ass residency and go from there. Ive got my eye on one out in Roswell, NM.  The main thing drawing me there is just the space….the sky.  So please please play to whoever you pray to, to help me get this one.

I also joined a pottery studio on St. Simons Island Ga.  Its small, but ive met a bunch of great people.  Also got juried into the gallery on pier rd on st simons, so thats exciting! Ive been trying to develop a line of dinnerware, with drawings and paintings. Right now im just getting used to the clay change and new materials.

So i got bored at the studio yesterday and set up my camera while throwing a bowl.  The angle isnt very good, and another student walked in behind me..she didnt know i was recording. but anywho, it was fun!

Week 3:

Well, i thought the pain would never go away…but it finally did.  I wake up in the morning and different parts of my mouth are sore, but its nothing like those first few days….

I took a pic of my new braces–they are the Damon System, and I have the half clear ones on top.  But the clear effect is canceled out due to the ties they put around each one…grrrrrr. 

Initially, when i got the braces on, they looked HUGE to me….these braces are supposed to be smaller and work faster than traditional braces.  I think it was the hooks they put on the top and bottom that was such a shock.  The hooks are so irritating–ive gone through 3 things of wax already!!

I really cant wait to see movement! I can already tell things have moved a little….Ill be taking photos every month so track the progress!  exciting, i know! : )

So I found out about an hour ago that my jaw surgery was approved…I actually didnt think it would be approved so I hadnt mentally prepared myself…..It hit me like a ton of bricks and I freaked out.  I know its something i HAVE to do, because if i dont, the pain will just get worse and ill regret it later.  But man, im terrified.  I have to get my braces within the next few weeks, which I’m still not okay with.  If just one person calls me brace face or train tracks…I will probably either cry or punch them in the face. haha 

So i could go the boring route and get clear bands around the braces ORRRRRR get hot pink.  Any thoughts?  Ill be taking pictures throughout the process so i can create a progress log that i can look at later…and hopefully be glad i went through all this.

Havent posted in forever!!! SO MUCH HAS BEEN GOING ON.  I could probably make 20 posts right now…but i wont.  I just felt the need to tell the world that im so proud of my dog, annie!!!  We went on a walk with my friend Christine and her dog, Erk, and Allison and her dog, Leo.  Initially annie was a little unsure of things, but once we started walking, she was great…her tail was up and she was smiling!  I took pictures on the walk, because i need proof. No one would believe me haha  (She’s known as the neurotic dog…scared of everything)  But this week, she’s gotten SO much better!!  I’ve been taking her up to the studio trying to get her used to people, and on walks to get her used to other dogs.  So far, Ive definitely seen a difference.  She seems more confident and happy : )

Well, thats all for now…i promise to post more in the future!

so im 23.

what??? im done!  thats so crazy, i cant even think about it!  it really hasnt hit me that i wont be going to school on monday….or the monday after that and the monday after that… weird

what will i do now with my time off??

so im pretty excited right now.   although i am sad that true blood wont be back for like 10 years, i can enjoy a new season of Big Love on HBO….ive been waiting over a year for this!!!  My sadness and almost boycott of HBO has been replaced by joy : )

oh and one more week until i have no life.
