so my finger is healing quite nicely, and i can actually start using it again lol  there will be a gnarly scar, but that just shows how hardcore i am : )

school has been crazy lately and ive been going nonstop for the past few weeks–i needed a break! so i came home over the weekend to see my dogs and sleep in my wonderful bed.  school is almost out–two more weeks!  club mud is next week, and im excited–i hope to make some money, im broke!   i still havent decided what im going to do for summer…school or work??  anyone have any ideas??

: )

so something has happened with my luck and/or karma.  i really dont know what ive done to deserve all this bad luck these past few days, but i really need to do something about it!!  it all started with me breaking all of my wall hangings that i spent forever on–jane (my prof) told me to stand them up instead of laying them down to fire them, and they all cracked in the same place….so obviously that wasnt a good choice.  next time i will go with my instincts and do what i think is right!!  ugh.

next:  car accident.  i was meeting tammie and the girsl for the bridesmaid luncheon on st simons, and was running late.  so i guess i was a little distracted and stressed out.  Im turning into the restaurant parking lot and this guy in a rather large truck waves me to go, so i start to go and couldnt see around him–this other guy in the turn lane slams into me, and i spin halfway around.  basically the front of my car fell off haha they had to order an entire front end–thats the bumber, side and hood panels, radiator, and anything else in that general area.  anywho, the police officers were incredibly nice and were totally on my side.  the man i collided with was a tad bit cranky (i guess i dont blame him) but he was just really mean, and the cop had to tell him to stop–i was already upset enough.  neither of us got tickets, which is awesome.

next: hospital.   i gashed my right ring finger open with a shard of porcelain…i was smashing them up to make an artsy thing for sculpture class, and somehow a huge piece attacked me!!  there was blood everywhere in an instant.  I actually didnt feel it, and it didnt hurt for a while.  but everyone in the room saw it before i did and seemed really concerned, i was like “what?….OH MY GOD”  marc, my sculpture prof. and my friend christine went with me to get stitches.   i ended up getting 4 stitches, and the gash is about an inch long…right on the crease where my finger bends….which sucks and is really uncomfortable.   warning: the picture below might make you queasy but i had to post my battle wound!!

So last week i went to Richmond Virginia for the southern graphics council conference, and i had lots of fun, learned lots of different printing techniques and whatnot.  my camera was attatched to my neck the entire time, so i have tons and tons of pics : )  i havent even gone through them yet, but ill post some of the highlights here : )

the litho demo:  much much easier than the traditional way of litho printing…if anyone knows its quite a process.

anywho, theres a sampling from my trip!!  much more to come eventually : )
