printmaking trip…and more hdr : )

so im leaving at 5am tomorrow morning for Richmond, Va–the print conference.  Im pretty excited about the trip, but not looking forward to leaving at 5 am…  : (   there will be tons of pictures to post upon my return, i know all three of you who read this will be waiting with bated breath.  lol

Did some HDR-ing today….wheee! 

my current obsession

so ive currently been consumed with the shutter speed…not hdr the last 2 days…ive been walking around taking a ton of pics with all different shutter settings.  I took some tonight outside–there wasnt a cloud in the sky, but the moon was incredibly bright so i got some great shots of stars and my house.  And the best part–i found the tripod yesterday!!!  So i could actually take decent photos : )  It was pretty funny, harry was inside crying–he knew i was outside and thought something was wrong, he kept  running from window to window looking out at me.  cute.

This is my first official decent HDR image.  I’m still working on others at the moment, but i had to go ahead and post this one : )  This was done with three images–without a tripod!!  Hellllll yea!  anyways, you can see a little blur at the horizon line, but overall i like it : )

here’s another, from a random farm in statesboro, ga:  the grass didnt really line up..because once again, no tripod, oh wells.

nothing is more beautiful than lightning, dont ya think??  Emma and i spent the afternoon taking photos for our current HDR obsession–ill post some images later tonight once i have them combined.  But the most exciting event of the night so far was the lightning!  We stood outside for a good bit trying to capture the streaks–here’s what i did WITHOUT a tripod–im still upset about that, why did i not buy the tripod we just looked at while in walmart??? why???  because im stupid thats why.
