worried

this weekend was jam-packed with family stuff lol   I went home because i got a new mattress and of course couldnt wait to sleep on it.  Its got the best pillow top ever and i didnt want to get out of bed the whole weekend.  I wish i would have brought it to my apartment instead of home, but oh well, its something to look forward to when i go home.

I signed annie up for puppy class at petsmart.  oh man, she freaked out a little. haha we had to carry her inside, and it took me and my mom to get her in.  it was pretty funny looking im sure, she was like a 4 year old who didnt want to take a bath…spread all legs and wiggle around.  it was a struggle to say the least.  anyways we get inside and she seemed to do better, class started and she basically stayed under my chair the whole time.  The instructor is super nice and said shes had dogs worse than annie (with her shyness) and by the end of the 8 weeks, she will be a different dog.  I sure hope so! i dont want her to be afraid of everything, she gets terrified whenever anyone comes over or sees people walking outside.

 then on sunday….scary!  I woke up to a severly swolen dog.  My mom said that she had taken annie out that morning, and when they came back in she noticed a few little bumps on her side.  then more came up, and by the time i woke up her entire face was swolen.  it looked like she had a golf ball on the top of her nose, and her lips were swolen out sideways like a duck.  i took one look and panicked.  i was so mad they didnt wake me up, but they knew id freak out.  anyways, within an hour, her eyes were basically swolen shut, so we decided to take her to the emergency vet.  the vet gave her a shot of benadryl and antiinflammatory, which helped immediately….and cost about 200 bucks!  but, 4 days later, and shes still not better 100%–the bumps are still all over her body and everything, but the vet doesnt know what it was that affected her.  i dont want to get to the point where i cant take her out for walks, that would be sad!  i wish i would have taken a picture for future reference, but i left my camera at my apt.  i just hope she gets better and doesnt have another huge breakout.

havent posted in a while…ive been so busy!  So many things have happened, good and bad.  One of our professors died last friday–he was the graphic design prof.–he had a massive heart attack during the faculty meeting, and the paramedics took so long to get here that he didnt make it.  It has just been so sad around the art building, everyone’s face is just kinda blank and no one is getting any work done.  i just feel bad for his family…thats two professors that have died now…

anywho, good news:  lets see, equestrian is going well.  we cantered last week, and tonight we are riding Western.  Ive never ridden western before, but im looking forward to trying.  apparently im a good post and trot-er : ) 

I brought Annie back with me this week, i had to pry her from my dad’s lap.  he didnt want me to bring her back haha   its soo sweet how much harry and her love each other, they play all day and are so sweet and gentle when the get sleepy.  Its gross, but harry licks her ears…and she loves it! i hate separating her, but i dont want her to forget im her mommy!  i took annie for a long walk after class today, and she kept getting scared of the cars, a few times she ran almost in the street.  i panicked.  i dont think ill walk her down that street again!  

This morning, someone broke my big bowl i had thrown…and no one mentioned it to me, i just walked in the room and it was broken, and no one fessed up.  kinda sucks, but oh well.  just kinda made me want to go home, so thats what i did.  and now i have nothing to do. its actually quite nice.  time to relax!
