When Harry met Annie…

so i went home this weekend and took annie with me.  Besides a little throw up, the ride went pretty well.  She apparently is very motion sick and drools all over the place, and eventually throws up.  Not fun to clean up, but i feel so bad for her that i looked past it.  we were so nervous when they first met, i have no pictures or documentation of any kind.  I was holding annie, my mom was holding harry back, and my dad was nervously shouting “ahh, hold her! no harry! stop!  oh god.  oh god.”  it was pretty funny.  there was no need to get so nervous, they’re just dogs and they can work it out on their own!  harry first of all didnt know what to do with her, he just wanted to play and she could care less that he was there.  she’d walk right past him, and he’d try to lunge at her to play.  it was actually pretty cute.  after harry tired himself out chasing the ball and the frisbee, he laid down and annie went over and grabbed his leash and started pulling him around the yard.  and he let her!  and then my mom brought over a big stick and they chewed on it together : )  it was adorable!  and when they were drinking water, harry stepped back to let annie drink.  i think he liked her! : ) 

 well heres a picture of her, all of the ones i try to take are horrible because she wiggles like a worm and they come out blurry or she blinks with the flash. so i have to get them when shes asleep.  isnt she cute???

Arts Fest

so today was arts fest on campus–its where kids and people in the community can come and get involved with us kooky art students and we can show off our work.  its always a lot of fun, and the little kids are sooo cute!  so im demonstrating throwing on the wheel and helping kids make some coil pots, when i spot out of the corner of my eye the …..  pet adoption booth!  so i quickly drop what i am doing and scurry over there.  i fell in love with a little retriever/lab mix pup named Maika.  I thought, she looks a little like Harry but much smaller.  Her eyes are BEAUTIFUL–blonde on the outside with blue inside : )  ahh, shes so sweet!  the only sad thing is that she was just spayed, and her stitches dont look so good. and she might have a hernia, so the foster mom is going to take her back to the vet on monday to get her checked out before they give her to me.  I am glad they are doing that so i wont get stuck with the bill! lol  but even so, i would pay because i already love her!  i got these photos off the humane society website.  shes absolutely beautiful!!!!

 

 

Decemberists

Decemberists were awesome!  i thought that they would be good live, but i had no idea how amazing his voice is in person.  Its perfect–even better than on the album.  Obviously, it was very fun and i was in heaven for about an hour.  And the best part is, we didnt get pushed or moshed once!  (only a little spilt beer)  it was a very nice concert : )
